Tuesday's attempt to equality...

Members of the House of Representatives take photographs with their phones as President Barack Obama Affordable Health Care for America Act during a ceremony Tuesday morning with fellow Democrats in the East Room of the White House. The landmark bill was passed by the House of Representatives Sunday after a 14-month-long political battle that left the legislation without a single Republican vote.

Obama also tweeted the following:
“Tonight’s vote is not a victory for any one party – it is a victory for the American people. Tonight, we answered the call of history.” The legislation extends health care to millions of uninsured Americans, a proposal dating back to Pres. Theodore Roosevelt, and marks the largest federal health care guarantees since Medicare and Medicaid were enacted over forty years ago.

Following piece is from K'naan Wikipedia page.

Critics have said K'naan has "a sound that fuses Bob Marley, conscious American hip hop, and brilliant protest poetry."[7] His voice and style have been compared to Eminem,[6] but his subject matter is very different; according to K'naan, he makes "urgent music with a message", talking about the situation in his homeland of Somalia and calling for an end to violence and bloodshed. He specifically tries to avoid gangsta rap clichés and posturing,[17] saying:
“ All Somalis know that gangsterism isn't to brag about. The kids that I was growing up with [in Rexdale] would wear baggy [track] suit pants, and a little jacket from Zellers or something, and they'd walk into school, and all the cool kids would be like, 'Ah, man, look at these Somalis. Yo, you're a punk!' And the other kid won't say nothing, but that kid, probably, has killed fifteen people. ”
This statement was made to explain his position on the world of difference which exists between where he grew up, and the ghettos of the first world.[18]. Nonetheless, K'naan denies that he is overtly political, instead explaining that he "[shows] the state of the world [and] if you call it like it is you're being political."[19]. His own opinion of his music is that it's a "mix of tradition and [a] kind of articulation of my own life and [..] my past experiences."[19]
K'naan has said that he is influenced by Somali music and the traditional instruments of Somalia.[20] His most recent album, Troubadour, also draws heavily from Ethiopian sources, particularly Ethio-Jazz by Alemayehu Eshete and Tilahun Gessesse.

LYRICS TO WAVING FLAG
when I get older, I will be stronger, they'll call me freedom, just like a wavin flag,

Born to a throne, stronger than rome, but violent prone, poor people zone
but its my home, all I have known, where I got grown, streets we would roam
Out of the Darkness, I came the farthest, among the hardest, survival
learn form these streets, It can be bleak, accept no defeat,  surrender retreat
(so we struggling), Fighting to eat, (and we wondering), when we will be free
so we patiently wait, for that faithful day, its not far away, but for now we say

when I get older, I will be stronger, they'll call me freedom, just Like a waving flag, and then it goes back (3x)ahhho ahhho ahhho
so many wars, settling scores, bringing us promises, leaving us poor,
I heard them say, love is the way, Love is the answer, thats what they say,
but look how they treat us, make us believers,we fight there Battles,
then they deceive us, try to control us, they could'nt hold us,
cause we just move forward, like buffalo soldiers,
(but we struggling), Fighting to eat, (and we wondering), when we will be free
so we wait patiently wait, for that faithfully day, its not far away, but for now we say

when I get older, I will be stronger, they'll call me freedom, Just like a waving flag and then it goes back (3x) and then it goes when I get older, I will be stronger, they'll call me freedom, Just like a waving flag and then it goes back (3x) ahhhooo ahhhoooo ahhhooo

And everybody will be singing it and you and i will be singing it and we all will be singing it wah wo wo wo ah ah

when I get older I will be stronger they'll call me freedom just like a flag waving and then it goes back (3x)
and then it goes
when I get older I will be stronger they'll call me freedom just like a flag waving and then it goes back (3x)
a oh a oh a oh
when I get older say when I get older when I get older when I get older Just like a waving flag just like a waving flag just a waving flag   flag   flag.. Just like a waving flag...
